About Us

At Starling Therapy, we believe in supporting the whole child and their development. We take time to get to know each child’s unique interests, strengths, and challenges so therapy feels safe, meaningful, and fun. When children feel connected and understood, they’re more motivated to communicate—and that’s where real progress begins.

Starling Therapy also takes a play-based approach to speech therapy. Communication is deeply connected to how a child moves, feels, and interacts with the world—so we take a holistic approach that integrates sensory and motor play into therapy sessions. This not only helps build essential language and speech skills, but also supports regulation, engagement, and confidence.

Do you take insurance?

Starling Therapy is actively working toward becoming in-network with more major insurance companies. While that process is underway, we are considered out-of-network and can provide detailed documentation (superbills) to support reimbursement.

Where are sessions held?
Our in-person office is located in the Montclair Village neighborhood of Oakland. We can also meet you at Montclair Park or virtually.
